I would choose parent involvement in the classroom. It is my belief that this subject requires a more in-depth look at the benefits. I predict that the children will become more confident in their day to day routines. This prediction is one of confidence that has been backed up by the improved grades in the classroom. Teachers have reported that the children are more well behaved and the parents have become my activity in the classroom. The classroom feels more as a community than a classroom. Participant in the research project have showed that compare to those of their counter parts whose parents were not involved in the project in the classroom a significant or rather a steadfast of non- increase or decrease of their performance. Those who’s parents were more active in the classroom also showed an increase in attendance.

Blog Week 2 Personal Research Journey

My topic for parent involvement in the classroom as my topic. I have seen year after year parents who are active in their child’s class and those who have not. The difference is subtle but not always. I was a child in school whose parents never came to any school function and from first hand I can say it is hard on a child to see other children’s friend parents come into class and not their own. My student’s parents have several chances during the year to come into class and spend time with their children from fatherhood monthly activity to classroom readings.

The research has chart has given many new avenues to follow. I am gaining new insights to doing research. I have also so far come to understand that I have only a limit knowledge of research practices and I hope to increase my knowledge on the research project.
